Best Album 1993 Round 1: Bangin On Wax vs. Here Come The Lords (B)

Just for replay value back then, nostalgia, and entertainment factor i'm voting Bangin On Wax. The whole concept was original and groundbreaking for its time. Here Comes The Lords is the better overall album and i'll take Chief Rocka over anything on BOW. So i'm good either way.

no i was laughing because they called their groups Bloods and Crips - 2 rival gangs, sounds retarded . It was probably some dumb ass way to try to unite them but still the entire concept of that is stupid, especially since this album cover only pissed off the real bloods and crips and led to nothing but more animosity and a mockery of this group

See this is why you must know what you are talking about before you type shit like the above.

This was an album put together by a communtiy activist to try to get gang bangers to only kill on wax. These were actually real blood and crips members in LA. They only did one song together but it is split into a blood side and a crip side. Fun fact Domino is apart of the crip side obviously before he struck it big solo wise. Kinda like the Lifers Grp project. Remember that? Was that funny?

So you should be ashamed for clowing something that was meant to be a positive.

Ya, it was riding the truce of 9 deuce. Battlecat was involved on some of the production, like K. Rob posted the only one I still listen to is Piru Love. Anyway, I'm giving the vote to the homies from Shaw University.

LOL I never came back to this thread after putting in my vote.

Anyway, I feel that it was a noble act in hindsight for them to do what they did. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like it worked, at least not long term. Also, I agree with Slang...those two songs were straight but LOTUG still wins.
