Another helluva choice. Illmatic is the better overall album. But imo that Spice 1 has higher highs but it also has a toned down second half compared to that jump off.

Illmatic barely.

Love both albums... but Spice got's this one...

Declared vote are only counted in case of a tie. Other than that the poll is the decider. It's just odd to have this many votes and only 5-6 active posters on this forum at one given time. Don't get it twisted though because I am very happy to see more people voting and some good competiton between two deserving albums.

All i had to do is search by illmatic, and your words did the rest. these types of posts are on virtually every Illmatic thread, and more often than not, these posts were made by you unprovoked. I can't blame people for trying to avoid Illmatic threads(if that's what they're doing).

Nah, trust me, when I was admin I searched high and low and went to the support forums and there was no way to individually enable or disable that system.

It reappears sometimes for me....I can see it right now. It usually comes back for a day and leaves for weeks.

I think the Illmatic/Diary winner takes the tournament. I like Ready To Die better than Diary but I know Face stans will pull hard for Diary.

I love the concept that a person can't be both a fan of Biggie AND Face and just prefer one over the other without being a "stan."

FACT- Most people in here prefer Face to Biggie. And some people in here (Kev and Terry for example) are ADMITTED Face stans.

FACT- This forum leans more towards Southern and West Coast music than East Coast music (Wu-Tang being the only exception).

FACT- Amerikkka's Nightmare would be getting BLOWN OUT against Illmatic in any other rap forum.

I'm a Face fan, but I'm just calling a spade a spade. I feel that the winner of Illmatic/Diary will win this tournament based on the overall tastes of this forum. Hopefully Illmatic pulls out this matchup, because if it doesn't then Face's path to victory will be relatively easy.

I don't know KJ this forum seems to rep a small but diverse range of taste. If anything the east coast is just as favored here as any other spot. Have you noticed how many people have not heard half of the southern albums I post against even the not so popular east coast acts?

Yeah, I'd go even further and say a lot of west coast and midwest stuff is neglected too. I certainly am not well-versed in any part of the U.S. but I definitely have heard mostly east coast stuff.
