KRS and Quest have several classics. Em's first two albums are classics, Talib's debut is a classic, and the Black Star album is a classic. Also, while I'm not the biggest UGK fan in the world, I'd say Ridin Dirty is a classic.

Yeah plenty of them. 5 stars means perfect and there are not many perfect albums out there. But I luv plenty of albums that I know are not perfect but they are classics to me. I try to stay away from the 5 star rating because I am never that confident to put that out there for too many albums.

That's kind of an interesting way of looking at it. I think sometimes I see it the other way. I elevate the almost perfect albums to a 5 star rating if I feel it deserves it overall. Plus certain albums just have an impact or impression that they make that elevates their rating. And then sometimes albums have dope songs all the way through and are still not classics. Idk, it's all POV shit.

Yeah it depends. Really I think rating albums should only be used to give someone an idea of the quality of the record. Because once you start rating them number wise str8 off personal connection things can get twisted. Really just enjoy the music. And the replay value and personal vibe is more valuable and a better measureable sign than a number rating.

As far as the UGK thing. Of course its debatable and I would not debate or argue w/ anyone for rating Ridin Dirty or Super Tight 5 stars. Hell I probably have said they were 5 stars myself before. They both rank very high with me. Thats why I just prefer the word classic over 5 stars.

definitely agree with that. For example, Ghetto D is a classic hip hop album but that is by no means a 5 star album to me.

Well if that's the case, then you honestly can't clown me for feeling that KRS and ATCQ have mad classics. Most people who are fans of them would say the same. Face is another guy with multiple classics I agree, but the same can be said for Kris and Quest.

Yeah I have no problem with you saying they have that many classics I just thought you felt classic equals 5 stars in your book. So I was clowning on that. No way in fizzy womack do they have that many 5 star albums (objectively of course).
