Need to check this ASAP. I'm gonna check out anything Mello Music puts out right now. They're on fire

This is a great album. It's got those boom bap/soulful beats and yU spits some introspective lyrics. My only complaint is the Diamond District song on here. It really disappointed me and just sounded outta place on here. I'm hoping their new album sounds nothing like that song. I would highly recommend this though. Mello Music just continues to put out amazing music.
My favorite song right now off it. Produced by Kev Brown

You've heard Diamond District and Oddisee, etc., right Kev?

I just went back and sampled it. And like soemone mentioned on the reviews the beats sound good but the emcees are lacking in the delivery and entertainment department. I also went and sampled this YU and the songs I made it through sounded nothing like or on the vibe of the above posted song.

Not even this song?! I gotta disagree Kev. I think the album has a very cohesive sound/vibe and most of the songs are on par with "Blind"

I did not listen to all the samples. I was not feeling the vibe of the 1st 4-6 trks. I may just get some of those songs.

Don't worry, gametheory, Kev will make another post a month or so saying how much this album "grew" on him once he gave it a true spin.

I gotta agree with Kev on this one. I don't remember which track I dipped out on but I got bored with this real fast. I was listening to it on Spotify at work, though. I think I'll DL it and give it a spin in the whip, that's the true test. Plus I really dug After Taxes so this should have been dope.
