Yeah I agree with that too. Both shows are great but The Simpsons is still hilarious after 20 years on the air whereas South Park has kinda lost steam the last few seasons.

Looney Tunes vs Superfriends Looney Tunes by 50 football fields and still running
Scooby Doo vs Yogi Bear Yogi (Scooby got a little monotonous after awhile)
Tom & Jerry vs Ren & Stimpy T&J, I haven't seen enough R&S to vote otherwise but they were crazy
G.I. Joe vs Transformers Transformers, close though (I prefer the GI Joe cartoon movie though)
Smurfs vs Alvin & The Chipmunks Alvin, used to watch the cartoon movie a lot
The Flintstones vs The Jetsons Flintstones but close
Thundercats vs Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TMNT, but close the first two live action movies were great
The Simpsons vs South Park Simpsons, clsoe

Looney Tunes vs Superfriends Looney Tunes for sure. I could never get enough of Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd, or Marvin the Martian. The others are great too. Probably the GOAT in cartoons IMO. lol
Scooby Doo vs Yogi Bear Close, but I'll go Scooby Doo by a little bit. Neither are big favorites though.
Tom & Jerry vs Ren & Stimpy Gotta go classic Tom & Jerry here. Both are great though.
G.I. Joe vs Transformers Transformers
Smurfs vs Alvin & The Chipmunks I haven't seen more than one or two episodes of Alvin & The Chipmunks, so I gotta go Smurfs.
The Flintstones vs The Jetsons Nice match-up. And it is very close IMO. Flintstones by a hair.
Thundercats vs Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TMNT was my favorite back in the day...my #1
The Simpsons vs South Park South Park. The Simpsons was classic when I was younger, but the new episodes don't interest me anymore. South Park keeps belting out classics.
The Boondocks vs Family Guy Love both shows, but I gotta go Family Guy. Boondocks can definitely be a more interesting show though. But I choose Family Guy for bigger laughs.
Popeye vs Pink Panther Another close one. Popeye gets it though.
Heathcliff vs Garfield Nice...but Garfield was always a childhood favorite.
Duck Tales vs Tiny Toon Adventures Ducktales easily. I didn't watch the Tiny Toons much, but Ducktales was a big favorite along with the earlier Disney Afternoon generation with Tale Spin and Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers.
Plastic Man vs Inspector Gadget I've never even heard of Plastic Man....lol. I like Inspector Gadget though.
And also, Rocky & Bullwinkle was my shit back in the day too.

Comments like those are showin your age (or lack thereof)
Tom & Jerry whoop Ren & Stimpy on EVERY level. They set the tone for cartoon violence and slapstick humor. Even the creator of Ren & Stimpy flat out admitted that his show was inspired by Tom & Jerry. So C'Mon Son, GTFOH with that bullshit!
The Freemans MURK the Griffins like Anderson Silva murked Forrest Griffin, LMAO!!
I like Tale Spin and Rescue Rangers, I'll come up with a matchup for them next time around
As for who Plastic Man is, I have a link for one of his episodes above. While I'd still take Gadget over him, Plastic Man was dope.
