| We should really just be using the 2010 lists and discussions, but you all have the attention spans of ADD ridden fleas...so what's your album of the year? |

| Right now it's still gotta be "Dinner And A Movie" for me. I just don't think anybody has been able to top it. However, i still have to hear the Celph/Buckwild and Alchemist/Oh No joints, but i doubt either will top Brotha lynch.
Albums right now I know would make my top 10 in no particular order:
The Roots "How I Got Over" Freeway/Jake One "Stimulus Package" Bill/Muggs "Kill Devil Hills" Vinnie Paz "Season Of The Assasin" Kanye "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" Nas/Marley "Distant Relatives" Brotha Lynch Hung "DAAM" Big Boi "Sir Lucious"
The other 2 i'd have to think about.

As of right now...and that Celph Titled joint is REALLY dope, Taylor... After what i've read about it i'm sure it is. My wife is getting it for me for Christmas so i have to wait a few more weeks. And Eminem would probably knock out the Strong Arm Steady album on my list after thinking about it.

His best albums are From Start To Finish Car Fulla Whiteboys (or there is a re-release just called HAYSTAK, it's pretty much the same album) Crakavelli Easy 2 Hate In that order for me, but Easy 2 Hate might fluctuate since it's so new. |

| Car Fulla Whiteboys is his best, and there is virtually no difference between the OG version and the version Koch released. The Koch version has a verse from Eightball on Can't Tell Me Nothing, and the OG does not. | |

| Haven't heard that much that was released this year. And I usually don't dub anything "Album Of The Year".
My favorites from this year are:
Q-Unique - Between Heaven & Hell SCFB - Cape Verde 7L & Esoteric - 1212 (I find myself liking it more with every spin)
And after this weekend, LCOB's Zeitgeist could be up there. Love the first three tracks, but that's all I've heard so far.

But from what I remember it came off generic and did not keep my attention. Like he was wasting his time once again goin for a more midstream or safe sound. |

| 2010 as a whole hip-hop wise has been toliet bowl...as a matter of fact rusty toliet bowl..
anyway the album of the year is Nas/Damien-Distant Relatives but I almost feel bad nominating that one because that is a reggae album first...
so if I remove that one then I'm giving it to The Roots-How I Got Over....the production was fire and so were Thought's lyrics and I think the songs contained on it were like throwaway songs....or at least some of them were...it's like their version of Lost Tapes or something...

Dang Powell. Whats the last 5 albums you have bought/heard from this year? While I do not feel this year was in the toliet it has been a lackluster year overall. Its like some of us are reaching to try to find something to hype up. |

I still can't figure out who he is addressing. Rumor has it that it is Canibus and Royce da 5 9.

I didn't think the songs meshed really well together on it...like there was no consistent theme on it, but it was still a great album to me....The Roots normally can do no wrong and they proved it again with this disc....Black Thought is just ridiculous lyrically and their production doesn't miss either....Hip-Hop album of 2010 IMO @ Kev....2010 hip-hop wise to me has been bowel movement man....I've purchased enough this year and have been unimpressed on most of it as a whole...especially following such a strong 2009....I though that 2010 was going to be a burner and it's been a dud IMO... 2011 from what I've seen looks decent...but we will see man!
