| Gasol is probably the only one up there that would have a shot (not counting the baseballers) IMO | |

| Yeah Gasol because he has rings...maybe
Even with the Packers winning this year I'm not sure if that would be enough for Rodgers to get in.

Oh I don't really follow baseball, I suppose I should have mentioned that. I mean I guess he would be HOF based on your description.

| Dwight Howard is a guarantee imo. The most dominating center in the game since coming out of HS. | |

| Andre Johnson-yes Adrian Peterson-no Amar'e Stoudamire-not yet Dwight Howard-no way Ryan Howard-not yet Tim Lincecum-close, very close (borderline right now) Aaron Rodgers-not yet Darelle Revis-not yet Chris Paul-no way Pau Gasol-not yet Dustin Pedroia-no Robinson Cano-no
so I've got Andre Johnson and maybe Tim Lincecum getting in right now...and Tim is borderline but he gets in too!

| I don't think any of them are there yet (i don't know shit about baseball though, so i'm not talking about them). I think Andre and Pau are the closest. Everyone else needs ALOT more before they should be considered imo. | |

| Ha! Stoudamire is not yet, but Dwight & CP3 are no way....lol
I think Dwight Howard has done more for his sport than AJ has done for football. He's also more dominating.

| I disagree completely. AJ is the most dominant receiver since Rice. He just doesn't get the rec he deserves because the Texans suck. | |

| I would say no to all the non-baseball players. Sure you can make a case for D12, CP3, and Pau but I'd like to see a lot more before I'd put them in that position. | |

| Also Dwight Howard is the most dominating center today....luckily for him there is no other competition at the position.....
the thing about Howard is that he has no signature moves.....he's not good at the line.....he's not a great passer.....his whole thing is blocking shots but he doesn't play Dennis Rodman type defense so let's not go there....Howard has a long way to go before he's considered for the Hall Of Fame IMO......he's a good player but he's not a great player IMO!

CO-SIGNAGE they don't make 'em like Andre Johnson anymore....he is just a completely dominant WR....plain and simple.....the man makes plays....has size....quickness, scores a bunch of TD's, blocks well....has excellent hands, runs great routes....I mean this guy is the truth and IMO is the best WR in the game TODAY....not of all-time but in 2011/2012 he is the best on the field today.....Matt Schaub knows this too.....without Andre then Schaub is quite ordinary.....

EXACTLY! Andre has done it consistently his whole career, 80% of which he had literally no other help at all. Terrible QBs (Carr mainly), Terrible OLines, Terrible RBs, no others receivers to take pressure off of him, and he still put up pro-bowl numbers. The past couple years the Texans have been a bit better and he has put up even better numbers. Not to mention the fact that he is hard-working and an incredibly humble dude... and he beat the piss out of Cortland Finnegan's bitch ass, which was beautiful... just beautiful lol p.s. I'm a Texans and Rockets stan. So if Yao is ever healthy again Howard can sit the fuck down lol... who am i kidding Yao is done...

I wouldn't put Dwight Howard in if his career ended today only because he hasn't been around long enough HOWEVER I do feel that when his career is all said and done, he will be a Hall Of Famer without question. I do feel he's a great player because he's one of the toughest guys to match up against and his game has gotten better every year he's been in the league.

While I do feel Andre would make the HOF if his career ended today (him and maybe Adrian Peterson are the only guys on that list whom I feel that way about right now). He's NOT the most dominant since Rice. I'd put Moss, T.O. and Harrison in over Andre. Those guys were better in their primes.

He's NOT the most dominant since Rice. I'd put Moss, T.O. and Harrison in over Andre. Those guys were better in their primes. I think when it's all said and done Andre will be better than both Moss and T.O. and for different reasons I think he'll be better than Moss because although anyone would agree that Moss is extremely talented he is also extremely moody and lazy when he wanted to be....he didn't play hard not only on every play but sometimes he took entire years off (last year and some of those Raiders years)...that tarnishes his legacy tremendously...while Andre has no history of taking anytime off....he played his ass off everydown...every year...and playing for the Texans gave him no choice.... I think he'll be better than T.O. when it's all said and done because I feel like he has better hands than T.O.....they both run great routes and have great size and quickness but to me T.O. as great as he is has dropped too many passes over the course of his career some of them in key situations.....Andre has better hands IMO..... I think that Andre is just a good as those guys in his prime (which is still continuing as we speak) and when he's done he'll be the better WR overall IMO!

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]like I said Howard is a very good player but he is not a great player....and I don't think he ever will be IMO....he will stay in that very good player mode...he dominates right now because he's not going up against Ewing, Olajuwon, O'Neal, Mourning, Mutumbo, Smits, etc..etc on a daily basis.....name another center who you feel is dominant in the game in 2011?? I can only think of Howard and that's it.....he is a very good player but he is NOT great IMO!

| My statements on AJ need to be tempered by the fact that i'm a Texans stan, but still the only thing Moss had on him was speed, and Harrison had Manning. TO is like bizarro AJ, similar build and skill set (andre's hands are a bit better) but polar opposite personalities. And AJ is still in his prime. | |

| as fucked up as this is to say i think it depends HOW their careers would end to truly answer this question. For example, if someone died or got an illness if be more likely to say "yes" to a lot of these but if they just simply retired id say "no" to maybe all | |

| AJ is a definite. Lincecum is iffy. He needs more time served.
Everyone else is pretty much a no. Even Pau.
Powell is right...there's Howard at center and then who else? Bogut? Noah? Nene? Horford? The Lopez brothers? Serge Ibaka (lol)? He has no competition. And with that incredibly obvious talent gap between him and every other center in the league, all he can muster up is 19/20 ppg (22.9 being the max....18ppg career)? He rebounds like a monster, but that wasn't enough to get Rodman in and he was better at it. He'll eventually get in because he's popular and his entry into the legue is well timed.
When I think dominant, I think of a young Shaq. He shot FTs just as bad as Dwight and still put up 35 whenever he wanted to...
