| With the lockout end in sight, its time to start the conversation about our league this year. Shall we make this a money league? Shall we spice things up by making it a PPR league? If you aren't going to be fully committed don't bother responding to this thread.
Let your opinion be heard...
I'm going to renew our league with the same rules unless someone wants a change.

| I'll take a kiddie pool league if it means every single member is serious. I'd be very thrilled with 12 or 14. Our league was fairly active last year and I hope there will be a continuation. As for the PPR issue what say the public? I have been in a few of them and it REALLY changes the dynamic. You have to completely rethink your draft strategy for the record. I want to give the people what they want aside from assigned picks. | |

Also, can we change the draft start time to like 9PM on that day?

| Because of the lockout I wasn't sure whether there was going to be a season or not. As soon as I heard progress was being made I renewed this league. Unfortunately all the good draft times were taken. This is the latest draft time possible on the latest date possible that should give everyone a fair shot of making it (I have to take into account the west coast players). Unless you all want the draft the 3nd week of next month late on a a weeknight, this is the best I can do unless some spots open up.

Damn that sucks. I'm not sure if I'll be able to make the draft if that time stands. You should have chosen a Sunday, most people are home on Sunday nights. But I'll try to make it, and if I can't I'll pre-rank. I understand about the lockout though, it would have been a waste making the league if there wasn't gonna be a season. Fortunately, there will be.

| As far as Sunday evenings go here are the possibilities.
July 31 has several possibilities but that is wayyy too early to draft August 7 has several possibilities but is still too early August 14 has only one slot at 11 PM EST August 21 has no slots open August 28 has no slots open September 4 has no slots open
So unless yall want to draft before preseason/FA season kicks off/commences then a weeknight draft might be the way to go.
The next best possibility is Sat August 20 at 11 PM EST
•Note: Drafts must be completed no later than the Sunday BEFORE the week you wish scoring to begin.
^ I just read that note and it has me worried about having a draft the day before the season starts as I'd like it to begin week 1.

| Also, there's a few spots left in a money league that I'm apart of if anyone is interested. Norf just signed up for it today, and I'm pretty sure Pedro will too since he's been apart of that league with me for the last year now. $12, 20 teams. Good competition, and commish is legit, he pays out 100 percent (I won the basketball league and got my money).

That's why we should use leaguesafe, it's a third party company that holds the pot money. They charge each person like 50 cents a piece, but that's chump change. It's legit site, a lot of fantasy users use that to hold the pot money. Making it a $10 just makes it competitive, and chances of deadbeat owners will decrease (playing in a league full of deadbeats is boring). League ID#:32602 Password: rmjc

| Lets just keep the hip hop league a free league, while those who want can join up in my newly form $12 money league. 20 teams, payment will go through leaguesafe (100 percent legit, 100 percent payout). Here's what I wrote in my commissioner's note:
Commissioner's Note New Note
Jul 27 10:29pm
Hi everyone, my name is Cuong Tran. I'm starting this brand new money league because well, it's a lot more enjoyable playing in a league full of competitive owners. The one thing I really hate about playing in a fantasy league is being in a league full of deadbeat owners. Man I really hate that. So in order to add a little competition and hopefully eliminate the deadbeats, I'm starting up this cheap, competitive $12 league. The rules will be standard Yahoo, 4 divisions, 8 playoff teams.
$12 to join... and the pay outs are $150 for 1st , $70 for 2nd and $20 for 3rd but the season champ (1st overall seed) is the only one that has a chance to win all the money if he/she wins the playoffs as well. If the season champ comes in 2nd and beyond, the prize money goes $150 for 1st , $70 for 2nd and $20 for 3rd.
League ID#: 228293 League Name: 20 Deep! Password: 1234 Amount of Team and Style: 20 H2H Draft Type: Live Standard Draft Draft Time: Sun Sep 4 5:30pm PDT (As of right now...could still change depending on the time that's good for everyone).
Payment- This league will be using Leaguesafe for payments. 100 percent legit, they hold our money til the end of the season, after which they will mail the winner(s) a check. I will be sending everyone links when it gets closer to payment time (payment will be due a week before the draft...If there is no payment (or at least contact me with an issue) then I will assume you have no desire to be in this league and will be booted. Make sure you have the dough by than!).
If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to hit me up. Thanks for playing and good luck!
Sign up Mama Bubba, Pedro, KJ, Highsmith, thelundquist and anybody else wants to get in on the action! Lets make this a competitive league!
