Busta Rhymes signs with Cash Money/Young Money??????????

Dang, i didn't realize they signed Mystikal too. Mystikal killed his verse on that song with Trae and Tech. He also kills his verse on the Yelawolf album too. I'm hoping for a new Mystikal album soon.

Yeah man, Busta was supposed to be Flipmode's General...I guess not everybody has the pull or business sense to put their homies on. That's not a diss, just the reality.

I hope they are able to pull off dope albums on CM, especially Mystikal since it would be his first in a long time, but that label dips its finger into the batter too much. They will probably end up putting out CMish sounding albums featuring Busta and Mystikal. Best case scenario would be if they just facilitate the two projects and let the vets do it their way. And hopefully Mannie still shows up on the production roster for the Mystikal joint. Either way, I'll still be checking for the next album by these two.

I think Mystikal would do fine there but I don't think that's the right fit for Busta.

It'd have been cooler if could've signed with a major Major and gotten a Flipmode imprint,

Busta has always run to the money... none of the flipmode rappers were worth a solo career...at least here he'll get some decent production... but we'll see... Cash Money has a history of not dropping albums so this could be another one of those situations.

Reek Da Villain is dope. Idk about commercial viability though...

Rah Digga was the best one, the rest were background. I think Spliff still gets paid as Bustas hype man.

Regarding solo careers, you could make a VERY slight case for Rah Digga (probably more of a case for her because she was/is tight), Lord Have Mercy, and Rampage. I don't think ANYONE was EVER checking for a Spliff Star solo album (and Lord Have Mercy for that matter, lol).

I used to want to find that Lord solo back in the day, he had a mad deep voice, from memory I think he may have recorded it but it never officially dropped.. I'm pretty sure a loooooooong time ago I saw someone selling a bootleg or something of it on ebay so I still sit and wonder about this.

But Busta on CM, I think he could do it up, it will be interesting and I hope it comes along.

If I'm not mistaken both Freeway and Dogg Pound both "signed" with Cash Money within the last three years and nothing ever came of it...I'll believe it when I see an album.

There are two LHM mixtapes on that site, one that I had from long ago, 'Runaway Slave', and a new one it looks like he released at the end of last year. I'm listening through Runaway again right now, probably haven't heard it in 6 or 7 years. Lot better than I remembered. Stand out tracks for me are 'These Men Don't Cry' and 'Where You Been Homie'

Busta has been killin' the guest appearances lately and it's good to see him have a deal but I can't say that I like hearing this. Mystikal is more Cash Money's style and I remember the collabos they did together on each other's album. They were actually pretty good. Just don't have any Busta & Drake songs where Drake is singing on the whole track.... I am eager to hear a Busta album. I just hope it's better than Back On My B.S.
