Young Lo - Life In General [2000]

Another album I have been giving some spins lately and I am squeezing it into the old school thread since it would've been recorded before the year 2000 anyway. Young Lo dropped a solid Memphis debut album in 96, Real Dealizm, which is no longer easily accessible so I am putting up this follow up album, Life In General from 2000. In one sentence, this is a very tight album. Produced by Slisce T, who I know I have some more of his work but can't think of what else he's on right now, his beats are very decent to say the least. Young Lo is a talented rapper IMO, speaking on the reality tip, he drops stories one after the other and flows pretty good overall. This is a very slept on album, and fortunately someone has recently put some of it up on the youtube, so check out the southern flava... I would give it somewhere around a 4.25 I guess.

I have this joint - Slice T I think has done tons of stuff but again I can't remember specifics right now. I luckily found Real Dealizm really cheap within the last year a store. It was a promo copy, but 1.99 is hard to beat. I recommend this CD too, I think K. Rob and Terrell and Jeff might dig it, a few others, who knows. I wonder what Old Lo is up to knowadays.

That is a really good find for 1.99..... my friend found it in a store over here years ago for 5 or 6 bucks... you wouldn't expect to find that over here, but shit does turn up on a very lucky day. I trawl through all the pawn shops I can wherever I go, and probably 199 times out of 200 I will not find anything special, but it's worth it for the one time that I do.

K Rob and Terrell and Jeff and anyone should go check this if you already haven't, I hope you mofo's are listening.... quiet like a damn library round here.
