While the album is a nice offering, I think it's readily apparent after a few listens (or after the first for some), that Tom Morello's guitar playing and production has not changed.........ever. Really, whether you are listening to Rage, Audioslave, or this, his production and riff structure has rarely changed over the course of his entire career. Boots on the other hand was a nice change from Zack de la Rocha and performed well throughout IMO. But Tom Morello really keeps this from sounding like anything more than another one of his side projects.

My rating: 3.5 stars

Yeah, but it was nice to see Boots do something differently. It definitely gets more spins than other albums I'd give 3.5 stars.

im a huge boots fan, and i was really skeptical about this one.. i didnt want my favourite mc, who i feel has put out constant quality, to go and piss it all down the drain on some mash up colab album. but after a few spins i knew this is how rap rock was meant to be done... check out the live tampa bay recording too if you onto this...

If you really want to hear Morello doing something different, check out his Nightwatchman albums. I don't like them, but you might.

I've heard one Nightwatchman album and seen them live around election time and did not like them....at all.

I just wish he'd try to expand on his old tired azz formula. The more I spin this, the more I despise this production...which will put a damper on the replay value. It's literally the same every time out.
