I blame hip-hop's decline this decade on A&R guys pushing commercial guys with limited talent more than anything else.

You can't blame the East for lack of innovation this decade more than any other region.

KJ, that was an intelligent comment and I commend you for it. I completely agree, and honestly I'm not that down on the east coast, I just get sick of people rambling how great it is. Until you can admit that the east is as equal as other regions, the reasons will continue.

Thanks Jeff, I appreciate you recognizing that. The thing you need to ultimately realize though is that neither me nor Powell are knocking other regions, we just believe that the East has been the strongest region of hip-hop since it's inception as a genre.

Believing it to be the best, is wholely different than saying that it is a fact.

Powell was the one that said it was a fact. I just happen to agree.

Anyway, my definition of a GOAT MC is someone who's music is timeless and has an amazing track record of making dope music.

My definition of a classic album is one that people will be talking about and spinning forever. Most people in here say that a classic album is one that has no skip tracks, but I think that's vague because there are some albums out there that have no wack songs on it per se, but relatively few great songs on them. Albums like that fall short of classic status IMO because they usually end up losing replay value as time goes by. While a classic album must not have anything wack on it. It also must contain a decent amount of 5 star tracks to be considered a true classic IMO.

KJ is so lost. I think people fail to see how everyone is entitled to have their own opinion until it counters their own opinion... when that happens all of a sudden "so and so is my goat" is some how interpreted as "your goat is not the true goat since it is not my goat" - which is so far from the truth.
