| Its too early to see if Abstract Rude's Rejuvenation is trully a classic. When you first hear an album you can't really determine if its a classic or if you really even like it. When you first heard Illmatic how was your feelings? I thought it was dope but never thought it'll have the impact it does today. People are so eager to scream classic even off a few leaked songs and haven't even heard the album yet. You gotta let an album settle first. Take Nas's Untitled , I was screaming classic at first, and maybe it is but now I don't know. Im not enthused about it anymore. The same with Kong's Shackles Off, I was hyped over it but now Im realizing there are some flaws in that album. But Megalon's A Penny 4 UR Thoughts just seems to sound better with every listen, an undeniable masterpiece that will forever toll in my eardrums.
I would never thought S.O.N.O.G.R.A.M would have been the undisputable classic it is now. And technically I would say Senim Silla's album The Motto was better cause it was short and sweet with airtight production while SONO did have some filler and some lackluster beats but those are just small gripes. Its not a perfect album but managed to make a splash.

| A few things here....
You called Shackles Off the best album of all time and acted like Kong's cock was firmly lodged in your ear. This within 2.2 seconds of it coming out.
I'm still listen to N***** regularly, if not for that lame ass Chris Brown track it would be skip free, and given the political climate and overall level of that album I'd definitely say it's classic.
SONOGRAM >>>>>>>>>>> Name Motto
I called Relapse classic...I stand by that, just like when I called N***** classic last year. Some albums take time to be recognized as classics, but some don't. |

| It is impossible, it takes time... but then again you have people claiming Tanya Morgan is classic after a few listens when the emceeing is barely average on it... and they claim Marco Polo/Torae is classic when its around 4 stars at best... |

| N***** barely gets any spins from me anymore, album lacked replay value IMO cuz the production wasnt that good, it was so soft but id still give the album like a 3.75 which is pretty good and lmao at the "Hero" beat that is a Pre-set stock sound: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOxFxbGv0iI haha so stupid but yea i agree with Trotter you cant tell if an album is classic until at least almost a year has passed | |

| Slang, youre what, an 18 year old white dude? N***** wasnt made for you...me, KJ and Powell all call it classic, how many other albums released in the past 5-7 years you have consensus on like that around here? |

| OK, the title of the Nas album is Untitled. Not N*****. Not Nas. Damnit. | |

| Nas' untitled is a recent classic for me too. There's like 3 or 4 songs I skip, but the rest of it easily makes up for it. | |

| I don't skip anything on Untitled. Except the song with Game and CB occasionally. | |

21 first off but thats cool man i completely respect your opinion on the album i just dont think its classic because i wasnt really feeling the production throughout, Nas' lyrics were great, and i listen to almost all of the songs on the album when i spin it but just cuz i dont really skip any tracks besides a couple doesnt mean any of them stand out as unelievable i understand how important the message was

| I don't think it's a classic either. I hate Busta's verse on Fried Chicken. | |

| I surprised nobody ragged on me for leaving out the "off" in the title. But I tell you one thing. TOmmy Gunn's Nickel Bag CD never left my MP3 player while untitled been back and forth. But Untitled is a dope album. Steve completely missed my point. People sometimes get overly enthused about an album when they first come out. Like in 95' when Hurricane (Beastie Boys bodygaurd) dropped his album The Hurra I was so hyped over it but when Cuban Linx dropped I completely forgot about it and haven't even spun it since. | |

Very true. I tend to be really careful about throwing that word around. For me time is the true indicator of a classic album. Does it still move you 5 or 6 years later like it did when you first heard it?

Busta's verse wasn't better than Nas' but it was good. I didn't have a problem with it. Initially I gave Untitled a 4.5 rating because the song "We're Not Alone" is sub-par and I usually skip it, but in hindsight I can stand to listen to it so it's a classic. It was my 2nd fav album last year behind The Renaissance. |
