No doubt. I wouldn't consider myself anything but a Minnesota rap pro. When speaking of music in general, I feel I'm diverse, but with hip-hop, I tend to be more selective...

Hey I remember you saying you had like 3-4 Carnage XL cds? I bought Sense Of Sound finally, and I was wondering if he had anything...better.

Slaine at 2:05. Post a doper verse from Rakim.
I don't think so. There is no 20 year old verse that can compete. The choppy delivery alone...not even great by 80s standards. One rhyme at a time. You hear Rakim as linear, whereas the modern mic killas rhyme in infinite, circular figure 8 type shit.

LMAOOOOOOO
your still tryin huh kid parker lewis albert leonard joe?? my dude as I said to you before....your top 10 IN MY OPINION is more like a top 250 to top 300 of all-time.......posting a couple of verses from those 2 does NOT mean they are top 10 emcees of all-time..but if you base your hip-hop off of just 2 or less verses then you just go right ahead and continue to do you....remember you specialize in being DIFFERENT..
I'm not going to post a damn thang from either Kane or Rakim...if you don't know by now then you never will..LMAOOOOOO
if you really believe that Slaine is better than Rakim and R.A. is better than Kane then so be it....like I said before thats your list not mine (stand up and be proud..lol)
I think your the youtube pro...hey Jeffrey I think you just found your youtube guy man...lol

Is this Nero? Sense Of Sound is his only full length album. He's got "The Carnology Volume 0.5 EP" which is like guest spots and other low budget mixtape type of stuff. And another disc that came out in about '03 called "Carnage XXXL". Neither are really worth your time IMO. He was in a group called The S.W.E.E.P.S. in about 2002-03 and they put out an album called "Foreign Genetics" which is pretty good, but extremely abstract. Probably his second best offering. They have an earlier album/EP as well, but I never got a hold of it.
All in all, Carnage is way more entertaining live than he is on record. I've seen him about 15 times...dude plays everywhere, anytime...

Rakim has tons of versus that would SLAY Slaine, but just to humor you Parker, here's one from Don't Sweat The Technique.......
They wanna know how many rhymes have I ripped and rep, but Researchers never found all the pieces yet Scientists try to solve the context Philosophers are wondering what's next Pieces are took to labs to observe them They couldn't absorb them, they didn't deserve them My ideas are only for the audience's ears For my opponents, it might take years Pencils and pens, are swords Letters put together form a key to chords I'm also a sculpture, born with structure Because of my culture, I'm a rip and destruct the Difficult styles that'll be for the technology Complete sights and new heights after I get deep You don't have to speak just seek And peep the technique

Like I've been saying, you obviously know shit about Slaine if you think that straight forward one line at a time scheme competes. It's played out. It's two decades old, and it sounds like it.

Whatever man, anyone with good rap taste would know that Rakim is a million times better than Slaine. Rakim is easily one of the best pure lyricists of all time, Slaine isn't even considered one of the best lyricists in the game today let alone all time.
Hell, Slaine isn't even the best MC in La Coka Nostra, that title would go to Ill Bill and he's not fuckin with Rakim in his prime either.

Play the fucking tracks back to back...you can't argue that shit. And Ill Bill is better than Slaine? Really? Why won't you just admit you don't know anything about the dude? It's very obvious to anyone who does.

I played them, and it's clear that Rakim is slayin Slaine (pun intended). Only a underground nerd like you would think otherwise. And yes, I do think Ill Bill is better than Slaine.
Rakim was clearly AHEAD of his time back then, and even today those rhymes hold up well and can compete with anyone's catalog. Want proof? Just look at how many people have sampled his classic hits over the past 24 years. He's probably the most sampled MC of all time. Rakim is a headliner, Slaine is an opening to mid-card act at best.
