Group Home - Livin Proof

Neither, excellent production but mediorce rhymes.

Top 50. I always preferred beats over rhymes.

Neither for this one, even with the terrific production and the good to above average lyrics.

Neither but A+ production

I have listened to this one too much for it to not make top 50

Said it once and I'll say it again....great album but the east is way too competitive

Both Daily Operation and Step In The Arena are LIGHT YEARS better than this. Those albums are classic, this is a 4-4.25 star album at best.

The only Gangstarr album that this could even be objectively better than is No More Mr. Nice Guy. But even if that's the case it ain't by much. Not to mention that Words I Manifest SLAUGHTERS any track on Livin Proof.

this album is completely BANGIN IMO...even with the mediorce to sub par lyrics and thats because Preemo DESTROYED this fuckin album....he must have lived in the studio when he was doing this one because he wasn't fuckin around with this effort...maybe he really knew that Dap and Melachi were weak emcees and he was going to have to save the day to get something respectable out of this one...smart man if I ever saw one because he saved the day...the week.....the year....for me this joint is 5 stars abound baby bubba (thank you very much PREEMO)

I think Moment Of Truth was his best work.

I dig the production on Daily Operation, Step In the Arena, Hard To Earn, The Ownerz, The Sun Rises in the East, and Wrath of the Math better than Livin' Proof.

I don't think The Ownerz or Wrath Of The Math are better produced, but they're definitely better albums, as are all of the above.

You hit the nail on the head Myestro. The only album from a wack MC off the top of my head that I can legitimately give a 5 star rating is No Way Out by Diddy. However, Diddy didn't write any of his rhymes and had tons of guest appearances so that makes up for it.

I mean I've got it at 4.50 stars and it is one of my all time favorites but have you really listened to Friend with Foxy Brown and Senorita off of that joint?? IMO those 2 alone are worse than anything off of say Nastradamus...those 2 pull that thing down to 4.50 stars IMO...but it is a very good....close to great album IMO as well

I like those songs Powell, and I could have sworn that I've heard you say that you considered No Way Out a classic. Also, how can you say an album is an all time fav if you don't think it's classic?

It's close man...it's close...I love that album though in spite of those 2 joints man....I don't recall ever saying it was a classic, but I probably said it was close and I still feel that way about the album...4.50 sums it up for me man!

I thought Powell said No Way Out was a classic too back in the Amazon days, but he could have said it was a personal classic.

I am only going to hope that I don't see anybody giving No Way Out 5 stars. The Puffy solo tracks are what bring this down with the exception of I'll Be Missing You IMO
