I had to think about this one but on the strength of "Living Like Hustlers", "Black Mafia Life", and "Uncle Sam's Curse" i just can't see how these guys can't be top 100. Lyrically they're not great, but great production has always made them a favorite of mine and if i'm putting Cash Money in the top 100 then Above the law should make it easily.

I only own Livin Like Hustlers, and it's a great album. I don't know enough about the rest of their catalog to vote though.

top 100. I own their first 3 plus an EP, and all the material is tight.

their first 3 efforts are decent in particular their debut, but I've always referred to these guys as NWA (the junior version)....IMO they didn't do enough to effect the hip-hop landscape, they just kinda fit in and in the process became forgotten about...not legendary like an NWA or PE....again this is my opinion

they score too low in too many voting criteria's to be a top 100 hip-hop act of all-time

The Fugees, Latifah,3-6 Mafia, Eightball and MJG, Big L, Snoop Dogg, as well as many others are all examples of groups/emcees who do NOT make my top 100 hip-hop acts of all-time, that's not many slots to fill and too make it you better had made a difference in hip-hop in some way, shape or form...your the hip-hop elite, you represent some of the best things about hip-hop!

Top 100 in terms of a group.

Yeah I say top 100 because they influenced a lot of west coast artist and even the might NWA. They were original style wise and they balanced their albums well with hardcore and knowledge which was not popular for west coast rappers at the time. Their 1st four albums are highly acclaimed and like someone mentioned the beats put them over the edge.

They're pretty dope, but they've been overshadowed by other West Coast acts so I've gotta say neither.
