It's not a fact that Biggie was trying to distance himself from it. If he was, he would not have been taking subliminal shots at Pac. Whether they were written with Pac in mind, no one knows except maybe Puff, but at the very least Biggie and Puff should have known those lyrics would be perceived as shots at Pac. If it was their intention to stay out of the beef as you and KJ want to believe, they would have thought twice about releasing those songs.

2Pac must have be some sort of magical wizard. He created a beef that doesn't exist. Biggie was classy and NEVER responded. And yet he caused the death of both of them. Hot damn.

he was riding out his beef with Biggie yes but he came to his senses on the nationwide war and thats why One Nation came to fruition - Pac would have unified the game and Bad Boy would be left in the dust after he signed Wu, BCC, and Gang Starr to go along with all of the other west coast artists already involvewd with One Nation (Yukmouth, Spice 1 i think, etc)...Pac wanted to unify the game and would have, and everyone else would have been fucked

i truly believe if One Nation ever really came to life the rise of No Limit wouldnt be half of what it was and ultimately mainstream rap in general wqould be VERY different today

Yeah I enjoy both their music and their beef didn't impact my listening at all. I don't care about a rapper's personal life, all I care about is how talented they are.
