| Damn, I've heard this dude on a bunch of guest spots, but I really haven't heard any of his solo work. Can't vote... | |

| Freddy is very dope, lyrically I don't think I've ever heard a wack verse outta him but again we are talking about the top 100 hip-hop acts of all-time NOT the top 100 lyricists
he's a neither for me easily!

| Foxxx got top 100 for me bcause of his delivery, classic guest spots, lyrics, and two dope ass undaground albums. Even the reissue of his shelved early 90's album Crazy Like Like A Foxxx is a banger. He's a top 40 fav rapper of mine. |

| I only own "Industry Shakedown" Kev and most of his guest appearances on Frankie Cutlass, Gangstarr, Group Home, M.O.P, and more than a few K-Slay and Dj Clue mixxtapes..and he's been dope on everyone of them, actually incredible, on the Gangstarr appearances for example he outshines Guru on his own record IMO...
but again he's DOPE but hasn't done enough to be a top 100 hip-hop act of all-time IMO
Kev why don't you do a top 100 lyricists list next man, so we can start adding some really dope emcees who may miss this cut??

| Powell, Bumpy basically made Rakim have 3 (some say 4) classics in a row by turning down Eric B. | |

So if I understand what your saying here, is that Bumpy (as talented as he is) is better than Rakim???? I just want to make sure I'm reading correctly before I respond to it Shon, help ya boy out with some clarification man, thanks!

| Y'all are fucking idiots....
Shon's joke was that were it not for Freddie Foxx TURNING DOWN ERIC B when Eric B originally wanted him to be his main emcee Eric B would have NEVER then gone to Rakim and and asked him to join him. We would have had Eric B. and Freddie Foxx and Eric B. and Rakim would have never happened and they would have never dropped classics.
So the joke is that he is saying Freddie Foxx should be given credit for helping create Eric B and Rakim by turning down Eric B's offer. |

LOL - SRP, why are you calling us idiots when the above information is obvious? My point was, Eric B. was NOT good enough to carry any emcee on his own. The only reason people know Eric B.'s name is because of Rakim. If it weren't for Rakim, Eric B. would probably be a nobody.

| And Rakim would have found a dope producer in the early golden age anyway. Not like Rakim owes his success to either Eric B. or Bumpy Knuckles. Rakim was the star. | |

| This is a tough call for me, but I'm gonna have to say neither. Freddie Foxxx is an excellent MC, but he hasn't really made an impact.
I feel that he's squandered his career considering the amount of talent that he has. He could have easily blown up, but decided to stay underground and that's why he's not as well known as he should be. He should be up there with guys like Nas and Jay-Z, but instead he's rhyming with John Cena. That just doesn't add up to me. |

| I don't think Freddie decided to stay underground he just was not very marketable and would not sell out. Listen to Insustry Shakdown he addresses his anger with the industry. |
