As usual let me know who's missing, any mistakes, and who has to be represented on this list. My 4 Favorites... I would say hey where's DJ Krush - Krush but nobody would vote for that except myself and J.Harris. Melodica by Blackalicious is dope too....EP, but I've seen EPs in this. Great job with the list though. EDIT: Strictly Turntablized also came out in 94...Krush these cats!

| 1994 is probably my favorite year in hip hop history as two of my top 3 albums of all time were released in 94, and a lot of my Top 100 albums as well. Illmatic SHOULD win this tournament, but you never know with this forum. It'll be getting my vote throughout as it's my GOAT.
My Top 10 of 1994....
Illmatic Ready To Die The Diary The Sun Rises To The East Southernplayalistic Resurrection Hard To Earn Do You Want More Six Feet Deep Word...Life

Illmatic shouldn't win if people don't like the album as much as you do. Illmatic is my number 1 album too for this year but if people prefer Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, The Diary, etc., then it is what it is...

Only ones I can think of right now are the above, and House of Pain's "Same As It Ever Was".

I cannot cover everything on my own. Fresh eyes are needed at times. On a side note I wish some of you had listamania list by year on Amazon. I check those for albums also. What would be a closer number to keep both sides even where it all would pan out evenly?
84? | |

| It has to 64 or 128. Any other amount won't be even unless you build in some byes. For tourneys to work it would have to be 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, etc....... | |

| If you did 96 you could have two brackets of 48
The only problem would be that at the very very end of each bracket you would be left with 3 albums instead of two, but you could just do a vs. vs. vs. and we vote on which one out of those three we want to win that bracket.

| Good idea SRP and thanks for the help Myers & KJ.
Honestly i'm already adding a LOT of filler in this. If I go to 96 I can only imagine the waste of time on that one.
It may ruffle some feathers but i'm going to have to narrow this down to 64. SRP your idea will work better in the later yrs when there are more albums on the same level of fanfare.

| Yeah man, I figured even 84 is a bit of a reach maybe, but between 64 and 128 I think 96 is the only number that works.
64 sounds about right to me.
