100 Greatest The End?

I think we have covered every worthy person for nomination and the list we have now is a very solid one. If any posters feel we have not please starting tomorrow do a poll on them but just keep it in day order with the ones I just did. It is becoming harder for me now to think of quality candidates so please feel free to add to the daily polls.

It might get kind of out of control with everyone making polls, maybe people should just list other candidates here, and you can make polls for them in the way you've been doing it so far.

The ones I can think of (Danny!, Cyne, and Digable Planets) are not better than some of the groups/artists that were voted out.

I'd give Digable Planets top 100. They may only have 2 albums, but both are 5-star classics IMO.

I did not see Aceyalone/Freestyle Fellowship on the last updated list anywhere.

If PUTS doesn't get in then DP does not get in for me. I loved both their albums but PUTS is far superior to them and still got voted out.

Mostly some long shots left, sure, but might as well vote, be complete about it

Digable Planets have 2 classics and took Jazz rap to a level no one took it before and were arguably the best to ever do the jazz style of rap. PUTS is just another dope underground group.

They probably are the best ever jazz-rap group. I'm not gonna disagree with you on that.

If DP had a more extensive catalog like PUTS I would give them the nod. I'll be in the minority on this one but whatever.

I agree with you Cise, PUTS does have a more extensive catalog so they get the nod over Digable Planets IMO, but the best Jazz/Rap group of all time is ATCQ.

I mean none of them will make it... and the first 50 of the list is damn near identical to any I ever seen... the last 50 is better...so I guess we know that the forum is full of mostly typical rap fans with pockets of eccentrics...

Nominating people that have 0 shot at making the top 100 is pointless. Unless someone can nominate someone that has a shot, we should end it. What we need to do next is devise a system to determine the real top 25 here. Like with the top 25 rappers, put up a poll saying top 10, top 15, or top 20. That way an act like the Roots, who got in because everyone can agree they are top 50, but definitely not the best of all time will get its proper place.

I think some of the names listed so far have a decent chance of making it. It hurts nothing to vote on them, we should be as thorough as possible. The numbers of polls per day can be increased, and we'd get through them quickly.

Then, I can post the final top 100 from this process, and we can try your idea after that.
