Nas is 5th on my GOAT list and I don't feel any of his album (except Nastradamus) are under 4 stars...

| shon, terry, and myself are all nas fans, so your argument has no bearing whatsoever. we feel differently, deal with it. like i said, you think posion clan is one of the GOAT, while 99.9% of rap listeners don't. |

| Poison Clan are NOT no GOAT and I know that and never said that. I enjoy there 1st 3 albums and they would make my personal fav grps list but the buck stops there. I am just one of the few luck enough to have heard them in their prime and gave them a fair listen and enjoyed what I heard. Some of you guys are not that much into Nas and you flip on artist faster than IHOP flips pancakes so I mos def take your Nas cosign with a grain of salt and piss. |

| I own every Nas album that's not a Greatest Hits disc or remixes, so I don't know who the fuck you think you're talking to Kev. Do you need me to up some pictures of my cd collection or something? Everytime somebody goes to the lowest common denominator of "you like this wack rapper" it's simply because they have nothing else to say. Besides which you randomly pairing up an album from each rapper is just skewed, I could do that with Necro and Nas and make it look like I'm not being biased, but really I'm just relying on bullshit tactics to refute some one else's legitamate point. How about you add up the scores of all of their albums and then divide by the number of albums they have to come up with an average score? Oh wait, that's being unbiased but you wouldn't do that because Nas wouldn't come out on top. |

Jeff shut yo sissy azz up, I don't even know why you came back. First of all I did not mention your name did I? So if you feel guilty or something take that up with your self. Let me let you in on a secret, you do know there are only like 20 regular posters on this forum right? And there are about a mil + hip hop listeners out there that are not on this forum because if they were trust me you would see how much sense I am making. Nas is betta than Mega on some levels not way betta but betta and that is almost fact. I really like Mega so no bias here just reality.

Ah, so you're saying that only people who are into Nas can accurately rate his discog, or are you saying that if we like someone better than Nas our opinions on Nas are invalid?

Ah, so you're saying that only people who are into Nas can accurately rate his discog, or are you saying that if we like someone better than Nas our opinions on Nas are invalid? I am seriously being objective here so I am not just picking Nas because he is Nas..okay? Now that we got that clear I was buying Mega albums before anyone told me they were "cool" to get so I am also being objective with him. I am saying folks not into Nas would not rate his discog fairly most of the time because there is no buy in anyway. Like if I tell you about Gucci Mane new cd you may want to take it with a grain of salt because I was not into him to begin with. Not saying I will unfairly judge his album like i'm not completey saying you will misjudge a Nas album but I will take an objective true fan opinion before I take a casual listeners opinion. |

| Objective true fan opinion is a contradiction of terms.
And for the record, I will probably buy Nas album with Damian Marley even though I'll probably hate it because I'm a "hardcore Nas fan". |

| What???
Look man I am a big Nas fan and he is number 4 on my list but even I can admit missteps of his, now that does not mean the things you feel are missteps I feel are and vice versa?...No. Like for example when people give Nastradamus 3 stars or below I know they are being very subjective and stubborn. Because anybody that listens to music for that certain time and space and does not compare it to other times and spaces can make a betta judgement I feel on it. Of course we all know Nastradumas is the weakest album in his discog but I have heard people call it str8 up whack when it is betta than a lot of albums that are truly whack. See I already discredit a persons opinion when they call decent-average albums just str8 up whack. Especially when I notice a trend of this behavior. |

| damn kev, now im a casual listener, barely know nas and flip-flop on artists 24/7? thats bs dude, bs. nas has an EP hailed as a universal classic, if he had to drop a FULL cds worth, i.e. double the time he posted, you think that shit would be so classic? Anyway, i give nas 3 classics hip-hop wise, illmatic, stillmatic, and n***** and im a hater? his career has been majorly hit or miss, i think with HHID and N***** he just his stride and found who he is, an outspoken activist...he aint no hardbody bunny, he aint no drug dealin bunny...im really like nas for bein real. now to say the realness is better than all but illmatic aint stupid, its the truth objectively, and subjectively it could go either way |

Co-Sign. It's clear that those that think Mega is better than Nas are NOT Nas fans (Steve, N3R0, SRP, Cory, etc). For the record, I don't think Mega is wack, I just think he's overrated by people on this forum. He's nowhere near as good as Nas or Biggie. I'd even take Prodigy and AZ over Mega. Nas is GREAT, Cormega is above average at best IMO.

| Once again, you clearly don't read before you post.
I am unabashedly a Nas fan. I own all of his solo work excluding the remix album, so fuck yourself. I will probably be being a reggaeton record I'm never going to play in a few months because I am a Nas fan. So fuck off with your uninformed ass opinion KJ. |

I'm sure Steve and N3R0 don't think Mega is better than Nas, they just think he has a better catalog. Meaning if you took the average of all the albums divided by the number of albums, Mega's would be better

I don't normally agree with Steve, but I agree with this. Main Source's debut is a classic IMO. But their second is barely 4 stars, and maybe 3.5 stars. It was solid but a let-down from a classic IMO. LP's "1st Class" was solid, but I honestly wasn't feeling it that much. 2008's "Main Source" was tight, but only about 4 stars IMO. He also has some excellent production credits over the years, but sticking to the albums he was a major part of, I can't give him top 100, personally.

Untitled was an EXCELLENT album, and Street Disciple was 4 stars IMO. Most careers are going to have ups and downs. As I look at some of your GOAT lists, I see inconsistency in many of y'alls fav MC's. |
