| That Alchemist is an amazingly well put together album. The LCN is a dope album. I miss Everlast's unique controbutions but a dark album full of Ill Bill and Slaine killing it is still great | |

| I will get the LCN for sure. I was impressed with the last CD. I will probably get Reks, Alchemist & Rick Ross first. (I know, I know but I have all the other Rick Ross CDs as well.) | |

| Spins:
Domo Genesis & Alchemist - No Idols Really dope. OF haters should check this out. No obnoxious, over the top stuff. Just "Our boy Al" killin the beats and Domo holdin it down.
La Coka Nostra - Masters of the Dark Arts Hell to the fuck yeah. I knew I would dig this after hearing Mind Your Business. No low points, IMO. Everlast is alright but I think LCN has more juice without him.
Rick Ross - God Forgives, I Don't Eh, it was alright. Def what I would choose if I had to listen to something mainstream but it's what you would expect. Above average production with average lyrics and some terrible songs mixed in. The songs with Hov, 3 Stacks, and Nas were the standouts, with the latter being his best lyrical performance (dude seems to step his game up when Nas is on the track).
Dom Kennedy - Yellow Album I'm gonna say this is lyrically his weakest effort. Not that he's a lyrical beast or anything, but Dom seems extra lazy on the mic here. However, that seems to be a theme of this album. It has an overall laid back, chill vibe, which always wins extra points for me. Gold Alpinas is fucking retarded but I still bump the shit out of it, lol.

Ces Cru "13 EP" (pre-ordered) Tech N9ne "Klusterfuk EP" Kutt Calhoun "Red-Headed Stepchild EP" Tech N9ne "Bad Season"
Bought all those on Strange Music's website. Everything on the site is 50% off til August 12. No idea how their shipping prices works, but somehow I got free shipping, so my grand total came up $18.99 for all four CDs. Good deal.
Also copped Natural Elements "1999: 10 Year Anniversary" on Amazon. I should slap myself silly for sleeping on these guys for so damn long....shit is KJ the Hippo size dope!

Also ordered Insomnium's 2011 'One for Sorrow'. Anyone else into these guys? I know there's a few metal fans over here. Basically Euro-death metal with some melodic thrash thrown in. Over three albums they've become my favorite metal these days. Can't wait to hear this one.

Sir Michael Rocks - Premier Politics and Premier Politics 1.5 I think I like him solo better than in the Cool Kids. He just has that lazy, douchebag type flow that I enjoy. He reminds me of a midwest Dom Kennedy. I doubt anybody else will dig these.
Three 6 Mafia - Ch.2 World Domination Another spin for one of my all time favs.
Scarface - The Untouchable Ditto.

| Spins:
Ron Artiste' - R.I.D.S. (Riot In Da Stands) This combo of Chali 2na and Roc C was fuckin dope! After two spins on Spotify I'm sure this is going to land somewhere in my top 10 for the year. Dope beats and lyrics and the guests all hold it down. The Ron Artest skits mixed in are entertaining as well. I'll say 4.0 out the gate.
Mikkey Halsted - Castro Dope. Not sure if I like it as much as Dark Room after one spin but real solid. Lyrics and subject matter are def on point and the production was cool too.
GLC - The Anti-Simp Fucking horrible. Sounded like the Chi-Town version of Big Kuntry King except for with the worst beats I ever heard. I didn't even finish it, and I don't usually quit on shit.

JJ Doom - Key to the Kuffs This shit was ok. I'm not crazy about most of the beats but DOOM delivers as usual. A few of the songs at most might work their way into rotation.
Megalon - A Penny For Your Thoughts I spun this for the first time at the gym the other day...dope stuff. I don't find it as awesome as Trotter does but dope nonetheless. Semi-Wu-Tang-ish...
Mikkey Halsted - Castro Gettin better with each spin. Still wish Don Cannon was mute...
SAS/Statik - Stereo Type Only 2 Skip joints on this one (Do Ya Thing Girl and On My Job). The rest is dope. 2nd best behind Stoney Jackson.
Ron Artiste' - RIDS Devin the Dude - To Tha X-Treme Dom Kennedy - Yellow Album Sir Michael Rocks - Premier Politics Stalley - Savage Journey to the American Dream

| Purchases:
JJ Doom Slaughterhouse - Welcome to Our House
Spins:
Slaughterhouse - Welcome to Our House (not great. the non-single songs are good, but all those god awful crossover attempts ruin this album.)

Yeah once I saw that it was executive produced by Eminem... I was concerned. I haven't heard the album yet but it sounds like it will have some Recovery type bullshit based on your comments.

| It's got some glossy commercial production with commercial hooks by Cee-Lo, Skylar Grey, and others to make it more appealing to the mainstream. I like Skylar Grey going back to her Fort Minor guest spots, but if you are opposed to this type of sound, you won't enjoy it. I think all 4 of them still spit some dope stuff on the album, and i enjoy it. It's not like Royce or Budden have never had pop/mainstream sensibilities. I think Interscope's input on Radioactive was much more offensive. | |

| I don't mind skylar, but I'd rather hear some hip-hop/soul type stuff, than recovery alt-pop. And yeah they are all spitting of course, but the produciton is really killing the vibe for me. Why can't they get some Premo, Dre, No I.D (who is on there once and it's one of the better tracks) on there. I know that they don't sell like the used to, but the problem is Slaughterhouse won't sell anway (doubt it cracks 100k 1st week), so why not make it hip-hop?
Idk just my take (rant) on it.

Idk just my take (rant) on it. Yeah, i don't disagree. I think it's just Interscope trying to squeeze every last drop out of their (minimal)investment. I was really hoping Yelawolf and Slaughterhouse signing to Shady would open more doors for them without sacrificing any of their artistic integrity, but that obviously hasn't happened with Bad Meets Evil(which I like), Radioactive(which is a bit disappointing but enjoyable), and this.
