As If Time Stood Still

I was spinning E 1999 Eternal today, and it sounds every bit as fresh as it did 15 years ago(man, it doesn't seem like 15 years ago). It sounds like it could have been released in the last few years IMO. What albums sound just as good today as they did upon their initial release? Which albums have aged well?

Thats a trip, i remember when this dropped too, i was like in the 5th grade..my older brother bought me and my brother the cassete tape album(actually he stole it from sam goody)

with that said-i can no longer, ever listen to the Crossroads remix, everyone and their moms played that shit out....real shit, i havent listened to that song in its entirety in 10+ years....funny..

Yeah, I understand people being burnt out on it, but i will never be one of them. I think that's part of the reason they have gone back to pressing the album with the original Crossroad as opposed to the remix

I had that same feeling recently when playing Goodie Mob "Soul food". That Bone album does not sound as fresh to me as you described but it has aged well.

Yeah, i can see that. I just basically meant it has aged well. When i spin it, i don't feel like i'm listening to an album from the mid 90's. As a comparison, i recently spun Gangsta's Paradise which dropped around the same time, and IMO it felt a little dated.

Yeah all of Coolio's albums sound dated. A lot that ole school west coast music sounds very dated especially the subject matter.
