Talib Kweli

Kweli is top 50 for me. His discography is insanely dope. He hit the ball out of the park on his first 3 releases. The first two are easily classics, and I think Quality is 5 stars too. Beautiful Struggle is 4 stars, The Sucka Free Mixtape is 3.5 stars, and Eardrum is 4.5 stars. Not too many artists give you greatness and consistent quality.

Cosign Terry. Talib is definitely in my personal top 50. It definitely helps that "Ear Drum" was such a strong showing.

However, I hear Talib is really bad in concert. Is this true?

The cats I heard that from is a questionable source, so I'm not sure if they were hating or not. But they said he has a real high pitch voice and it doesn't sound as full as it does on his albums.

I've got Talib in the top 100 of all-time no questions asked

he's extremely talented and Hi-Tek has blessed him with some bangin beats over the years

his album quality has for the most part been pretty consistent

I think he is lacking a little in influence and impact for having been in the game as long as he has and that's one of the main reasons I can't put him in the top 50 of all-time...that's reserved for the elite of the elite...but Talib is an elite and respected ARTIST....which is exactly what he is: an artist

Top 100 for sure on Kweli, closer to top 50 maybe. Personally, based on BOBS I got Mos ahead of him, though Mos has dissapointed lately.

Talib is top 50 easily especially based on some of the cats that have made or almost made top 50. Kweli is a pure spitter and lyricists with a dope catalog like Terry said. Kweli only weak spots is his delivery and live show, I seen him in Atlanta and he was very average. His voice and rapid flow does not come off clear live.

ive seen him 3 times and IMO he did not disappoint.....he had a ton of energy the shows i saw him and played all of the songs people would want him to play for the most part, hes also one of the mc's where you can actually understand his lyrics when he plays live unlike a lot who just yell lol

one of the times ive seen him was with Mos Def and they played tons f Black Star stuff it was insane....then Pharoahe came out in the middle of their set and did Simon Says it was a great performance

Talib Kweli is Top 50 for me, he's one of my favorite MC's right now and slowly becoming a legend. His discography is excellent, and he's a great lyricist.

Top 50 for Talib. Reflection Eternal and Eardrum are personal classics.
