Canibus

I just looked at wikipedia and I had no idea that Canibus has 11 solo albums. I'll be interested in this discussion as well.

i am shocked you havent heard a Canibus album...that said

buy Rip the Jacker and 2000 BC immediately

then buy Mic Club and For Whom the Beat Tolls

Lyrical Law is dope as well

Mic Club is better than 2000 BC. Lyrical Law is dope

I cosign Lyrical Law. And I even like Rip The Jacker so Highsmith and Wayne should go ape shit over it.

The only one that I have heard is the debut album. Once I heard that album, I had no desire to buy another Canibus album. I will take the recommendations that you all have given under consideration and check one of these other albums out. ..Maybe Lyrical Law because that is a 2011 release.

2000 BC & rip the jacket then everything else. Mic club has no hooks, don't trust canibus stand on this issue. Its like asking a new Yorker if nas has an wack albums.

2000 BC is my fav from him followed by Rip The Jacker. For Whom The Beat Tolls is probably 3rd.

Not impressed, but it's not bad. Same with Melatonin Magik and that other one with the Premo and J Zone beats. Canibus hasn't been himself for awhile, and he's only now starting to get good beats again. It's just not worth it for me anymore, he seems to be saying the same shit over and over with less enthusiasm and less creativity. Mic Club is the perfect example for me, because he admits "ain't as hot as I was, but I still got skills". Just not good enough when you've got mcs like Vakill, Ras Kass, Chino XL, Slaughterhouse, K Rino, etc etc etc that have been doing what he does better for years and much more consistently. I'll check out a song here and there but for the most part I'm completely over Canibus and his hype.

More like asking a Midwesterner if Eminem or Tech N9ne has any wack albums. Even us East Coasters will admit that Nastradamus is wack, whereas y'all are in denial about Em or Tech.

Nah, everyone knows Encore is wack/ The Tech comparison is dead on, though

When have I ever said Encore isn't weak? I think it's miles ahead of Nastradamus because it at least has a couple of classic tracks. And as for Tech N9ne, I don't think he has any "wack" albums per se, but there's shit I don't rec to people that don't like his style to begin with. This is the same goddamn argument we've been having for years. I'm not going to ask you if you like The Worst because you don't even like Calm Before the Storm. Don't ask me if The Amazing Jeckyl Brothers is dope because I don't like ICP period. This is simple...I DO like Nas so yes I CAN give an opinion on him. I don't know why this is hard to understand. I'm not out rec'ing Celcius to Powell, am I? No. I would say I know my bias a lot better than most people on here, and cop to it far more often.

A MUCH better comparison would be asking me if Royce da 5'9" has any weak albums, because despite everyone saying the opposite, I DIG Independent's Day and consider it about 4 stars. I don't like Celcius nearly that much, or even Absolute Power. So really, if you've never seen or paid attention to my likes/dislikes, don't try to assume shit. Thanks.
