Nah, i'd never take a shot at someone's personal preference. I think i was more disappointed than anything cause you and SRP like his solo albums, and we share similar tastes on southern hip hop. I guess i just expected to like them more. They were not bad or anything though.

You have the right to your opinion Kev, but majority rules. Honestly though, I can't come up with 50 better MC's than GZA. He's a great lyricist with a great discography and associated with a great crew. I have him in my Top 20.

But it's not just about lyricism imo KJ, now I do understand that at least 40-50% of it but what about style, delivery, flow, impact, originality, catalog, emceeing, etc.

He's a top 20 emcee of all-time for me

but he is not even top 100 of all-time when I add up all the factors it takes to get there IMO

in the group Wu-Tang then he's in there but as a solo artist his impact alone is just not enough

I don't think I've EVER heard of another emcee saying that they've been influenced by GZA

he's top 200 as a solo artist IMO but he's a top 20 emcee for me personally with those lyrics
