How many Kareers did Kendrick lamar Kill?

Its not a typo I meant to spell "Kareer" with a K cause K.Dot is killing bunnies like the KKK.
Maybe its my warped point of view but once GKMC dropped it changed the climate for these new comers. I lot of young dudes who was getting some buzz,attention that shit died. I admit I don't follow these youngsters that much but I do sense that they are being forgotten. Rappers like Childish Gambino, Asap Rocky, J.Cole, Wale, Tyga, and in some cases Odd Future. MOF, I think Earl Sweatshirt was caught tweeting some hatorade on GKMC. I give K.dot his props for dropping his album right on time instead of fondling around with "unofficial" albums for 5 years. Its like PUT UP OR SHUT UP. Right now like 4 songs from the album are getting reg.rotation on urban radio, Swimming Pools, Money Trees, Poetic Justice, Bitch Dont blow my high. Its crazy. On one hand it shows shit of some sort of substance can dominate the mainstream on the other hand it reinforces the believe that you need radio hits to make a dent in the game. Which makes sense since all the rap legends basked in mainstream notoriety at one time .

I don't know how many "unofficial" albums K-Dot dropped before GKMC, but the first I have from him is 2007's No Sleep Til NYC w/Jay Rock & that one would be 5 years before.

I may be wrong, but I think Trotter meant that once he got signed to a major he got his album out pretty quickly (within the same year).

As far as the topic goes, I think Game was digging his own grave for a while, but K.Dot might've put the nail in his coffin. I think Kendrick kind of took J.Cole's spot as the "future" of (mainstream) hip-hop. He also kind of killed Jay Rock's career. Jay Rock was kind of popping off, getting on Lil Wayne songs, signing to Strange and what not, but once he put Kendrick on, his buzz took a nosedive, and now he's considered by most the least interesting member of Black Hippy.

Its like you gotta put out your album and lets see what numbers it does. Fuck, how long has Cory Gunz been sign. And I haven't heard shit about J.Cole as of recently. This sorta proves how shallow minded the mainstream audience is. Im like K only change the game for the new young rappers he didn't change the game cause Lil Wayne, Ross, Drake are still spittin' their tripe. I think WOLF is a waaay better album than GKMC, the only thing plagueing WOLF is wack cameos from sub-par OF members
