Tech N9ne-All 6's And 7's

This album is beastly IMO. It's not as dark as KOD, and that may be a problem for someone like Slang and a few others. However Tech is in rare form here. Tech's lyrics are as sharp as ever, and his flow is as close to perfect as you can get. The album ranges from the rapid fire spitting on Worldwide Choppers to the personal Mama Nem with everything else in between. Out of the 18 actual tracks(24 tracks total), only I Love Music and You Owe Like Pookie had me wanting to skip to the next track. I believe this will be in contention for my AOTY.

I've only gotten thru F--k Food but i have really liked what i've heard so far. Gotta wait for the kids to go to sleep before i can finish it.

hey Terry i really like this album after one spin i dont think ill like it more than KOD but the best tracks on here are insane and among the best of Tech's discog. I will say he talks about bitches a little too much...or maybe just the fact theres like 4 songs in a row about it lol. But this album is a beast like you said.

Yeah, this is all i've spun the last 2 days. I just gets better with each spin.

Damn this album is str8 heat! Surprises me a little. Not because i don't expect it from N9ne but because this album is going to be near the top of his overall discog. You usually don't see artists making their best albums this late in their career. Loving this.

Just about all the guests are on point too. I like that Hopsin cat. I remember some of you all talking about him but I've never checked him out.

I like this better than Absolute Power for sure. The middle 1/3 of KOD doesn't do much for me, where this album stays consistent all the way thru so I can see it overtaking KOD as well. I haven't heard Calm Before The Storm.

I love it. I agree the guests did the damn thing, even when I expected some of them to fuck it up.

Right now 4.5/5 is my rating.

Everready was my introduction to Tech. So it holds a special place to me. K.O.D. is probably the better overall album, but there are some parts of it that seem a little forced to me now that the hype has died.

Moving into my top 10 for the year, great effort as usual.

I finally Dl'ed this and i'm going to check this out. Only Tech album I can play all the way through on a pretty frequent basis is KOD. The rest of his albums don't keep my attention. Tech is a song here and there rapper for me. I dig him more that way. I'll check it out soon.

That 1st part is possible since it not like Royalty Check is about to change the way I listen to albums...lol. But that 2nd part please. Freddie Foxxx is overall better than Tech.

We'll just agree to disagree because its no contest in my book. What I usually prefer in a rapper is more in Bumps than Tech. But i'm going to try to listen to it without all this hype in mind.

KRS in his prime smashes Tech N9ne easily.

That said, I really enjoy this album. It moves into my Top 5 of the year.

Tech's flow murders KRS flow in his prime, IMO.

Decent album just as expected. I can see me spinning this one often. For a rough draft rating i'll say a 3.75 or so. His albums get long winded quickly for me. Nevertheless another dope album for 2011.

I didn't disagree with that, I'm just speaking on Tech's flow complexity alone.

Yeah, copped the Best Buy exclusive. One to bump, the other to slang....but now I'm thinking about keeping both seal and dl the album.

I am an idiot though, I put one of my copies on Amazon for sale. Some dude in Europe bought it, but I had a change of heart....selling the copy for $25.99 didn't seem worth it, especially considering when shipping overseas they charge you by weight, and with that pendant I think it'll cost me more than $6.98 Amazon will reimburse me, so I cancel the sale. Too bad I confirm the shipping, so now I have to pay Amazon the commission fee...I'm a fucking idiot...should have thought things through before confirming shipping

I've heard this and KOD... there is something about his music that I just don't enjoy his albums (those ones, anyway). It's disappointing, because what I do like I like a whole bunch. His personality, flow, rhyme style is interesting and overall impressive. There is nothing wrong with his lyrical content whatsoever.

Maybe I'll check out Anghellic.

What do you like of his that you like alot? Maybe one of us can point you in the right album direction.

As for this, album is hot. Only 2 spins but I loved it. Thought I would like some of the cuts cause some guests were on it, ie. Fuck Food, but it turned out to be one of my favorites. Techa Nina all day.

Almost all the verses are fire, the beats are ridiculous, and the guests all do their thing...it's just those damn choruses that make me wanna turn that shit off. Funny because I actually dug the same shit on Hopsin's album. Still, though, the album was pretty dope overall. I have the super deluxe version that has all the bonus tracks from iTunes and Best Buy. I would say a 3.5 for me.

lol, I just read your review Half...great minds indeed. I guess I just gave the extra 1/2 point for the lyrics. The album would be dope as hell if he just enlisted some fucking chorus writers. You were right on point when you said some of them sound like they are off a Godsmack or Staind song, lol. The whole time listening to it, I just kept saying, "Whyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!???????" lol
