Heh heh it's been a while... Diggin in tha collection volume number 9... I was chattin with lundquist on chatbox last night, as any gangstafied HH4L member should... We were talkin about overseas hiphop and I remembered an old one I have by MC Solaar from France. I don't understand a word of French, but like Eddie Murphy said in Delirious, you can say I gotta take a shit in French and it will sound good, haha! Anyway, it does have some really nice cuts on it and I think some ppl here will maybe like this album, so thought I would put it up. Gots a mix of sounds but a jazzy type feel overall I guess. I haven't bumped it in a very long time, but I'm pretty sure it was worth at least 4 stars, to me. Solaar has a number of albums which I've never had the pleasure of checking out bar this one, which is Paradisiaque from 1997. Enjoy
This is actually pretty interesting. I'll be checking this out. I hear that Prose Combat is his best, I might check that out before this album. Keep up the DITC threads, they may not get too many comments but I always read through em. And oh yeah keep using the chatbox!

I bought Prose Combat a couple weeks back, only listened one and a HALFsharkalligator times so far, but it seems a pretty fine album overall. More listening to come. I remember in the past I have come by probably all his albums at different times in used music stores here but kept passing up on em even tho I had a owned and had a liking for Paradisiaque. I shall endeavour to keep an eye out in my future diggin.
By the way, Prose Combat is kinda cheap on Amz at the moment if anyone be interestededed in Solaar.

I don't know too much about Solaar. I liked him on Jazzmatazz Vol. 1, and back when I had Audiogalaxy, or Napster or Ares (something along those lines) and was d/l'ing songs like nobody's business, I stumbled upon La Belle et Le Bad Boy and one which I bump regularly. Never really checked for anything else...but maybe I should.
